By james art GLENDALE — Glendale, known as RugbyTown USA, serves as the home of the professional rugby team, the American Raptors. However, the team will not be coming home to Glendale next year.
The American Raptors played in the Super Rugby Americas and worked to “improve the level of local talent in the United States,” according to the team’s page.
The sight of rugby players at Infinity Park is familiar to Jonathan Solis.
“Oh, it’s big. I’ve never actually watched rugby in person, you know, anywhere but here. That’s when I got to witness the games and practices for the first time,” Solis said. “I became interested in it when I saw these guys play and their dedication, how happy they are to be here. So I know it’s big right here in Glendale.
