The Sky Sports duo have worked together on the program for years, but their on-screen relationship has had its rocky moments.
Chamberlain made his Soccer AM debut in 1995 and spent 22 years presenting the sports show before leaving in 2017.
While her time on the show was more than a decade longer than Lovejoy’s, he almost fired her.

Helen Chamberlain reveals how she was almost sacked from Soccer AM by Tim Lovejoy
Speaking on the Soccer AZ podcast, fellow stars Robbie Knox, Joe Worsley and Neil Smythe recounted their time on Soccer AM.
Knox said, “He [Lovejoy] offered the job to someone else before me,” adding: “I went for an interview, you offered it to someone else. They couldn’t start on time, so I got the job. I’m only here because someone else couldn’t quit their previous job.”
According to The Sun, Chamberlain cut him off, telling everyone: “He was going to fire me!”
She added: “Don’t you remember? He took over Soccer AM, the first thing on his list: ‘I don’t need her, she doesn’t do anything!'”
The Sky Sports star clearly held no grudges as she and Lovejoy went down as one of the best broadcasting duos in British history.
Lovejoy went on to agree with the account, saying: “That’s true,” adding: “But it turns out Helen was brilliant!”
Soccer AM aired between August 1994 and May 2023.
