The California community of San Bernardino came together on Saturday, November 2 to celebrate Día de los Muertos and honor the memories of loved ones with food, music and art.

The event also included games, activities, a performance by Ballet Folklorico Cultural, a calavera auction and an ofrenda, or altar. In addition to honoring deceased relatives, the event raised scholarship dollars.
It was presented by the Association of Latin American Faculty, Staff and Students and placed in the Robert and Frances Fullerton Art Museum on campus.
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, has roots in Aztec, Mexican, and Catholic traditions. It usually involves joyous celebrations to help people remember and honor family members and friends who have died.
