Vegas sportsbooks are questioning North Carolina’s ability to leave Tallahassee with a win, making the Tar Heels a 2-point home opener. The Seminoles are 1-7 and have lost four straight coming into the weekend, all by at least seven points, and have been a hotshot for most of the season after three straight ugly losses.
Last weekend, North Carolina snapped its own four-game losing streak with a 41-14 victory over Virginia on the road. Running back Omarion Hampton was a steady force during that win with 105 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Jacoby Criswell connected with JJ Jones for a pair of 30-plus-yard touchdowns.
