BROOKLYN – The Fremont Packer boys managed a top-10 finish at the Division 2 state cross country finals.
Fremont finished with 308 points, good for ninth, and was led by Blake Taylor’s 40th-place finish. The area’s top finisher was Fruitport’s Vincent Pollock, who finished 25th in 15:44.9.
Allendale won the state championship with 78 points, well ahead of runners-up Forest Hills Eastern (180) and East Grand Rapids (200).
Freeland’s TJ Hansen, a senior, won the race in 14:50.5.
