Cast announced for Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS at The Mill at Sonning – West End Best Friend

Casting announced for Irving Berlin white christmas, which plays at The Mill at Sonning from 27 November 2024 to 25 January 2025.

With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, book by David Ives and Paul Blake and based on the Paramount Pictures film written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama and Melvin Frank, the cast includes Jason Jaidee (matilda the musical International Tour) as Bob, Connor Hughes (42nd Street, Curve/Sadler’s Wells/Canada & UK Tour) as Phil, Gabriella Williams (Chasing the rainbowsRegent’s Park Open Air Theater) as Betty, Nic Myers (Cabaret at the Kit Kat ClubWest End) as Judy, Mark Curry (WickedWest End) as General Waverly, Shirley Jameson (Hello Dolly!West End) as Martha, Natasha Kayabyab (professional debut) as Susan, Shem Omari James (Jesus Christ SuperstarUK tour) as Sheldrake, Greta McKinnon (42nd Street, UK and international tour) as Rhoda, Eleanor Walsh (aspects of love, Southwark Playhouse) as Rita, Elliot Allinson (jersey boys West End) as Mike, Lewis Rae (Charlie and the Chocolate FactoryLeeds Playhouse/UK tour) as Ezekiel, and includes Grace Chan (Jack and the Beanstalk, Birmingham Hippodrome) and Jack Speck (cinderella, Basildon Towngate Theatre).

Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis had a successful post-World War II song and dance. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters on their way to their Christmas show at a Vermont cabin that happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including ‘Blue Skies’, ‘I Love A Piano’, ‘How Deep Is the Ocean’ and the timeless title track, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.

The creative team includes director Jonathan O’Boyle, set designer Jason Denvir, costume designer Natalie Titchener, choreographer Gary Lloyd, lighting designer David Howe, music arranger and music director Jay Alexander, sound designer Chris Whybrow and casting director Jane Deitch.
