The Oscar-winning actress saw Adele perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, November 1
Adele paid tribute to one of Meryl Streep’s most beloved film roles — and the actress seemed to approve!
During her Weekends with Adele show in Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 1, the 36-year-old singer made her way through the crowd at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace dressed as Madeline Ashton, Streep’s character from the 1992 film. Death becomes heras seen in a video shared online.
Wearing a silver jacket reminiscent of what Streep, 75, wore as Ashton in the comedy/fantasy film, as well as a blonde wig and a large silver necklace, Adele sang her song “When We Were Young” but stopped when she saw a star, standing in the audience in front of her.
“Hi,” Adele said cheerfully as she bowed to the Oscar-winning actress, who then returned the favor by bowing to the performer.
The two then shared a sweet embrace, embracing each other as Adele continued to sing the tune from her 2015 album. 25. “I love you,” she also told Streep between lyrics.

Adele’s sweet encounter with Streep took place shortly after she shared a moment with Celine Dion at her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday, October 26.
In a video posted by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), Adele sings the same song she did while greeting Streep when she approached Dion, 56.
Adele cried as the two hugged for a few seconds. She then said a few words to Dion, who held Adele’s face in her hands, before the “My Heart Will Go On” singer planted a kiss on her hand.

Adele later described in a post on X why the moment was so special to her, writing in part, “I’ve been performing in the Celine Dion Room at the Coliseum for almost 2 years now. It was the only place I wanted to play in Vegas because it was made for her, I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I go and she came to the show this weekend and it was a surprise and it was a MOMENT!! “
Not long after, Dion herself paid tribute to the special moment shared between the singers, writing to Adele in an Instagram post on Friday, November 1: “Your performance was spectacular, your production was so beautiful. We loved seeing you and hearing you sing…it was such an emotional night for all of us.”
