Utah football was hoping to have quarterback Cam Rising back for its top-15 game against No. 15 Oklahoma State on Saturday.
However, Rising did not start for the No. 10-ranked Utes in the opener of Big 12 competition on Saturday.

Cam Rising injury update
Rising, who was seen warming up Saturday, suffered a finger injury in Week 2 against Baylor. He did not start Utah’s game against Oklahoma State.
Isaac Wilson started in place of Rising on Saturday.
According to ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel, Rising warmed up with a glove on his hand but struggled throwing the ball. Rising was injured in the second quarter of the Week 2 win against Baylor when Baylor linebacker Treven Maae shoved Rising down the sidelines into the Bears’ water coolers.

Earlier Saturday on “College GameDay,” Thamel reported Rising as a game-time decision against Oklahoma State.
The Fox broadcast showed Rising standing in uniform on Utah’s sideline.
