Florida A&M’s homecoming week was full of fun for the students, but homecoming means just a little bit more to the Thunderer’s legacy.

“When I can come to Florida A&M, I come often.”

This is Albert Coleman. A Famu alumnus who has been coming home for over 20 years.

“There is no problem when it comes to locating in Tallahassee at Florida A&M. The highest of the seven hills; I love being here.”

Being here in Tallahassee is one that many Rattler legacies take to heart.

“It’s a great experience to be back on campus, most Rattlers love being here, especially friends, and meeting new people; new Rattlers.”

The same sentiment is common on this campus. Delores Brown is another FAMU alum. It has been coming back since the 80s.

“Just being a part of it and being here with friends and family celebrating; that’s great.’

Brown told me it’s not just about the fun activities and the queue…it’s about the gathering.

“When we came, there were a few ladies from my dorm that I haven’t seen in over 40 years, so we all met here as a date.”

FAMUly reunion — what longtime Rattlers are saying this homecoming and tailgate.

“It is a pleasure to be here on the wonderful campus of Florida A&M.”
