Homecoming after a decisive win against UNLV. “It’s not a magic formula, it’s work. And our guys don’t shy away from work,” head coach Spencer Danielson said.
Rightfully ranked 15th in the nation, Boise State football did it again Friday night.
Ashton Janty ran into the end zone twice, adding to his current 20 rushing touchdowns this season.
“Ashton Janty is the best football player in the country, but this is a really damn good football team,” Danielson said.
The team’s defense set the tone for the game with a pick-six in the first quarter (A’Marion McCoy).
Putting up 56 points … the Broncos’ offense featured an explosive performance from — No. 3 — receiver Latrell Caples.
By not one…not two…but three touchdowns…all in the first half.
“Finding ways to be open and being able to have that relationship between us is a huge part of our game because, you know, the season is long and being able to have that relationship and continue to develop it throughout the season is [going to] help us,” Caples said.
None of those connections are possible without quarterback Maddux Madsen, who had over 300 passing yards.
“And to be able to get the passing yards that we got tonight … to be able to get a lot of receivers involved … that’s a testament to those players.”
The Aztecs got on the scoreboard with a field goal in the first quarter…they ended up scoring 24 points the rest of the game…but it was a record game for the Broncos as they allowed the fewest yards in a game this season
The entire team thanks Bronco Nation for coming out to support.
“It’s a blessing, we have to keep growing every week,” Capless said.
“I’m so focused on the future and I’m so focused on these young men and how they grow every day because they change my life every day,” Danielson said.
