Reno police seek possible witness to Pickett Park shooting – Reno Gazette Journal

Reno police are seeking information about a fatal shooting that happened at Pickett Park in Reno last Thursday.

Police said officers responded to Pickett Park on Kirman Avenue to reports of a shooting shortly before 7:00 p.m. Thursday; they found a man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

Detectives said they believe the driver of the 2003-2005 model year four-door Honda Accord may have witnessed the shooting. The vehicle is described as having a sunroof, tinted windows and five-spoke wheels. Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call the Reno Police Department’s non-emergency line at 775-334-2677.

Police say the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
