A puppy stolen along with the rest of the litter almost a week ago has still not been found, police said.
Five cocker spaniel puppies were taken from a property in Callow, County Durham, on Sunday.
Durham Police rescued four of the dogs, but the fifth remains unaccounted for and officers believe it may have been sold.
The force said its inquiries were continuing and “the search is ongoing”.
The seven-week-old puppies had only recently been weaned from their mother Lunicki when they went missing.
A man and woman arrested in connection with the investigation have been released on bail.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham Police.
