Nexus Louisiana is now accepting applications for its new president and CEO, a significant step in the organization’s quest to find new permanent leader.
The Board has engaged global executive search firm Isaacson, Miller to lead the recruitment process. The firm invites applications, interest from candidates and referrals for prospective candidates.
The new president and CEO will be critical in providing internal and external leadership. The individual will evaluate and align organizational structures while advocating for Nexus Louisiana as a key driver of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Baton Rouge region statewide and globally.
Nexus Louisiana has been without a permanent leader for two years after longtime CEO Genevieve Silverman left in June 2022 after 14 years.
Nexus management consultant Calvin Mills has been in charge of the organization’s leadership responsibilities since 2022. He says he plans to apply for the permanent job.
C meeting of the organization’s board of directors last month, the group reviewed the search for Silverman’s replacement and a transition plan to replace the tech park’s departing CEO Stephen Loy with a temporary replacement pending the appointment of a permanent executive director.
The search committee tasked with finding the organization’s next leader has dates blocked in early December and January for phone and video interviews with the candidates. Semi-finalists will be interviewed in person.
The search committee will also consider any potential candidates to replace Loy that may be identified during the CEO search.
