32-year-old man arrested for burglary at England captain Ben Stokes’ Durham House during PAK vs ENG Tests – ABP Live

Ben Stokes’ house in Durham, England was burglarized on October 17 while the England men’s Test captain was in Pakistan for a three-match Test series. Durham Police have already arrested a man in connection with the incident and authorities have confirmed an investigation is underway and released a detailed statement on the case.

Durham police released a statement on Facebook Friday saying a 32-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the break-in at Stokes’ home.

“Man arrested after burglary at England cricketer’s home. An investigation was launched following the break-in at Ben Stokes’ home on October 17, when items of high value were taken. A 32-year-old man from North Yorkshire was arrested overnight on suspicion of burglary. He has since been released on bail pending inquiries,” Durham Police posted on Facebook.

Ben Stokes had posted on X (formerly Twitter) on October 30, revealing that a masked gang had broken into his home in Durham and stolen sentimental items while his wife and children were present. He also shared a photo of the stolen items, including jewelry and other valuables.

In the post, Stokes described the break-in and posted images of the stolen items, which included a Christian Dior bag, a gold ring with the England cricket insignia and bracelets.

Stokes noted in his post that the most disturbing aspect of the crime was that it happened while his wife and two children were at home. Although they were unharmed, the incident took a toll on their emotional and mental state, leaving the family to wonder how much worse it could have been.
