The first image from the new film Peaky Blinders starring Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan has been released.
It shows the 32-year-old actor, of Saltburn and The Banshees Of Inisherin fame, wearing a flat cap and leaning over the side of a car as it pulls up next to an industrial building.
Nothing has been revealed about Keoghan’s character yet, as he stars opposite fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy, who goes on to play Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby in the film.
No release date has yet been announced for the Peaky Blinders movie.
Also reprising their roles from the BBC television drama, which ran for six series, are British actors Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle.
“Boiling Point” star Graham played docker Hayden Stagg and “Gentleman Jack” actress Rundle played Ada Thorne, Shelby’s only female sister on Steven Knight’s TV show.
Dune actress Rebecca Ferguson and Pulp Fiction star Tim Roth are also among those joining the cast as the action shifts to follow the Shelby family in WWII.
In 2023, Keoghan won the Bafta for Best Supporting Actor for The Banshees of Inisherin, and was also nominated for roles in Saltburn and Calm With Horses.
