Taylor Bevan prepares for first pro fight after joining Matchroom – BBC.com

Bevan will begin his journey in the professional ranks under the tutelage of former British, European and Commonwealth welterweight champion Colin Jones at the Sport Wales National Center in Cardiff.

“My training team, Colin Jones and Sean McGoldrick, they’re very experienced as well,” he added.

“I’ve been training with the Wales team for about seven years now so I trust them and know they have the best for me. I’m really looking forward to going pro with them.

“I have an exciting style, I come forward and I’m aggressive with quick hands. I also have some strength – fans will love watching me fight.

“I feel like now is the right time to turn pro because everything has fallen into place for me.

“The Olympic dream did not come true for me this year. I had the option to wait another four years and try to go to the Olympics in Los Angeles, but I just feel like I’m at a good age now. time in the pros and I’m really building on it.”
