Kamala Harris opted for a comfortable and casual look for a day full of appearances and a rally, wearing dark washed jeans instead of her traditional suit.
She paired the denim with her favorite black leather shoes, a bright blue blazer and a navy tee. The shoes feature a slightly pointed toe and a conservative heel that measures around three inches high. The vice president was all smiles and looked confident in her ensemble as she arrived for a campaign rally at the Craig Ranch Amphitheater in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 31. With five days until Election Day, Harris was campaigning in Arizona and Nevada.
She was introduced by Jennifer Lopez, who joined the politician’s presidential campaign by endorsing Harris earlier this week. After sharing a video of Harris on Instagram, JLo reiterated her endorsement in person, appearing at Harris’ rally in Vegas. The star kept her look modest, wearing a brown bodycon dress and a pair of sandals.
The sandals are in a simple style. They have a toe strap as well as an ankle strap. They’re made of patent leather and feature a 4-inch stiletto on the back. The ankle strap encloses a round buckle in gold. The back of the shoe is also minimal. It also sits on an almond-shaped toe box.
The silhouette looks very similar to the Gianvito Rossi Portofino, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in April. This shoe is also minimal and features a round buckle. Most iterations of the Portofino are solid color with a buckle in the same color as the ankle strap.
The Portofino has been a popular shoe over the years. This year alone, it has been worn by the likes of Paige Butcher, Venus Williams and Sarah Jessica Parker. The sandal is also one of Rossi’s best sellers.
“The Portofino sandal embodies the essence of my vision: beauty in simplicity and quality, as well as attention to proportion. Its design was conceived to emphasize the female silhouette, not to overpower it,” said Rossi during the anniversary. “After 10 years, our customers are still looking for it: I like to think that its lines have somehow been out of time to stay, becoming an expensive item that women can always have in their wardrobe.”
Over the years, the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman, Diane Kruger, Olivia Culpa, Demi Lovato, Margot Robbie, as well as the Kardashian-Jenner family, have all worn the sandal.
Over the past few months, celebrities have been wearing strappy sandals more and more.
