A life-size Taylor Swift cake meant to be the star of an international pageant has been recalled after the hands were shaken during transport.
Dressed in an outfit from the singer’s Eras Tour, the cake was created by Elsa Baldzijska for the Cake International show at the NEC in Birmingham.
But the award-winning cake maker and show organizers decided to pull her from the show after she was damaged while being transported in a van on Thursday.
Photos of the cake sculpture show it bent sideways at the knees and missing both arms.
The three-day event at Birmingham’s NEC, which brings together cake makers and enthusiasts from around the world, features live demonstrations and workshops alongside the competition.

Competition entries are expected to be in the thousands, with judges adding a wildcard category for people to enter – creating a wearable masquerade hairdo from a cake.
Also featured is a life-size Queen Elizabeth I cake created by sugar artist Emma Jayne Cake Design.
Other extravagant items on display this year include an exhibit from Mrs Macabre’s Toy Emporium by Sugar Screams, a seven-foot tall birthday cake to celebrate 30 years of Cake International and a large dragon slayer cake by film industry expert sculptor Gary Pollard.
