BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Baton Rouge man is facing charges for allegedly possessing inappropriate photos of children.
James Berland, 69, of Baton Rouge, was charged with possession of child pornography, according to the US Department of Justice.
U.S. Attorney Ronald S. Gate Jr. announced Friday, Nov. 1, that an information notice has been filed against Burland.
According to officials, Burland knowingly possessed material that contained images of child pornography involving minors under the age of 12 between, on or about November 11, 2022 through April 9, 2023.
The US Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Office of the Attorney General are investigating this case.
