Stratus Building Solutions continues its growth with its newest location in Wisconsin’s capital city. Stratus Building Solutions of Madison opened this month and is owned and operated by Jessica and Paul King.
The husband and wife duo co-own the new business, with Jessica acting as president and overseeing day-to-day operations. When the opportunity to change careers arose, Jessica was looking for the ability to create a better work-life balance while making a difference in their community. The Midwesterners researched over a dozen potential business opportunities and ultimately decided Stratus was the perfect fit for their needs.
“I love that it helps the community and that it creates an opportunity for other people to come in and start their own business, like I can help, it really means a lot,” says Jessica. “Then of course we’re just making a difference in keeping the area clean, safe and healthy.”
Founded in 2006, Stratus Building Solutions is an industry leader in the use of Green Seal certified products, meaning they are non-toxic, biodegradable and safe not only for people but also for the environment. They also use state-of-the-art technology such as microfiber cleaning cloths and mops. With over 4,300 units in the U.S. and Canada, Stratus specializes in everything from carpet and window cleaning to hard floor care and sanitization and is a master of the janitorial art.
“Stratus has a very robust training program where they go through the ins and outs of things like how to clean properly, how to start your business, do marketing, promotions and other important steps,” Jessica points out. “As long as you’re willing to follow the system and the pattern, they have a really good chance of success.”
