The Scottsdale Comic Con is back for its ninth year. While the focus is on comics — lots and lots of comics — the event is already bringing in some serious stars from the comics world.
Affectionately known as “Old Man Con,” the traditional comic book convention will be held at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, 7200 N. Scottsdale Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Guests of honor include:
- Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Chris Ryall, former president, publisher and CCO of IDW Comics and writer of the Eisner-nominated series Zombies vs Robots
- Jay Photos, a multi-award winning, 25-year comics veteran who has worked on Spawn, Godzilla, Transformers, TMNT and Lock & Key, also heads Frazetta Comics through Image
Admission is $10 cash at the door.
Artist Alley will feature Marissa Pope, Austin Ackert and Max Hauser, among others, and dozens of dealers will include representatives from Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington and more.
