Vice President Kamala Harris was flustered when protesters jeered her at a rally in Nevada on Thursday, prompting her to regurgitate her infamous word “salad.”
“You know what? Let me say something about that,” Harris said amid the interruption of the Reno event.
“We are here because we are fighting for democracy,” the vice president fumed. “Fight for democracy.
“And know the difference here, know the difference here, going forward, going forward, know the difference here,” Harris muttered.
“What we’re looking at is a difference in this election — let’s go ahead and see where we are because on the issue, like the freedom of choice…” the Democratic candidate continued as the innuendo intensified, cutting her off again.
“That’s OK. it’s okay It’s okay,” Harris said as her supporters drowned out the protest.
Hours earlier, during a speech in Phoenix, the Democratic presidential candidate was interrupted several times by anti-Israel protesters.
“Hey guys, you know what? Here’s the way things are…,” Harris said, addressing the demonstrators.
“Let’s talk about Gaza for a moment,” she continued. “We all want this war to end and get the hostages out, and I’m going to work on that full time when I’m elected president.”
Earlier in her speech, Harris replied: “It’s fine” when her supporters tried to silence a demonstration with chants of “Ka-ma-ka, Ka-ma-la”.
“Democracy can be complicated, but we believe in democracy and everyone’s right to have their voice heard,” she added before going through the break.
Harris was plagued by anti-Israel protests at her rallies throughout her campaign.
On Wednesday in Madison, Wisconsin, a protester sitting near the stage shouted, “Cease fire now,” shortly after Harris began his speech.
“Look, we all want the war in Gaza to end and the hostages to be taken out as soon as possible,” Harris replied. “And I’ll do everything in my power to make it work.”
“And everyone has a right to be heard, but right now I’m talking.”
More than 650,000 Democrats across the country voted “uneducated” or “disengaged” in the Democratic presidential primary earlier this year to protest the Harris-Biden administration’s handling of the Middle East conflict .
