Ashley Mitchell she said got up to prepare a bottle for her baby. As she peeked through her blinds, she saw two people stealing her SUV.
Mitchell said she ran after the thieves as they drove away in her car, leaving tire tracks in her driveway.
“And at that point I was outside on my car like, ‘Get out of my car!’ What are you guys doing? And that’s when they just “POW! POW!’ – shot twice,” Mitchell said.
The thieves shot at Mitchell twice, but she was not injured. but they fled in her jeep.
“It was nothing but God. “I immediately felt to see if I was hit,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell said she fears for her family’s safety.
“I don’t feel safe at all. I keep waking up every hour because of what happened. Who knows if those guys are still out there!” Mitchell said.
The car thieves are still at large and Baton Rouge Police are still investigating this case. Anyone with information about the thieves is asked to contact BRSM.
