By james art MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Box of Balloons Madison is accepting candy donations through mid-November to supplement its philanthropic operations.
The Sun Prairie-based nonprofit collects birthday baskets each week, donating to children and families in need.
“When we get that candy, that means a huge expense that would go into going out and buying candy to fill those piñatas, and party favors are something we don’t have to do,” co-host Jennifer Javornik said.
There are two donation sites in Madison: 3506 Country Grove Drive and 2130 Oakridge Avenue.
The candy collected will be sorted by volunteers on November 26 at the Pinney Library.
