BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Birmingham family still needs help finding the man who shot two children and a man while they were driving on 3rd Avenue West. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, which happened almost a week ago.
Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama, in cooperation with the city of Birmingham, has established a “Stop Violence Against Children” fund, offering thousands of dollars for information. This fund is available in this case.
West Precinct officers report more than 20 shots were fired on 3rd Avenue North around 8:00 p.m. One boy suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other boy and man suffered non-life-threatening injuries for life. Fortunately, the Birmingham Police Department says all victims are in stable condition and expected to recover.
Crime Stoppers emphasizes that your information may lead to an arrest.
“They had no business getting shot,” says executive director Bob Copus. “They have nothing to do with the ongoing dispute. This has to stop. We want people to come forward and hopefully by having this extra amount of prize money, this increase in prize money, people will step up and say what they know.
