San Francisco 49ers linebacker John Feliciano normally plays offense, but has found himself playing defense the past few days.
Feliciano joined a chorus of those who defended comedian Tony Hinchcliffe for his joke about Puerto Rico at former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

Hinchcliffe, a stand-up comedian, has drawn criticism for his crude jokes, including calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of trash.”
Feliciano, who was born in New York and whose father is of Puerto Rican descent, has no problem with Hinchcliffe’s joke.
“The only Puerto Ricans who are crazy about the joke (Tony Hinchcliffe) are crazy because it helps them push their agenda,” he wrote to X. “Tony’s joke was so soft compared to his usual material.”

Feliciano also appears to be defending 49ers quarterback Nick Bosa. While he didn’t have any words for X regarding Bosa, who flashed a Make America Great Again hat, he reposted a clip from the moment on his account.
Bosa didn’t say much about the statement.
“I’m not going to talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important point,” Bosa said.

The 49ers are still not talking about the moment. Bosa doubled down on an Instagram post chronicling his weekend.
