BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – One person was injured after someone shot at a rideshare vehicle in Baton Rouge, police said.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 20.
Officers said the shared vehicle picked up three people from the home. While the carpool was traveling near the Mohican/Prescott crossover, someone in another vehicle opened fire from behind the carpool, according to BRPD.
One passenger in the carpool suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. They added that the other two passengers and the driver were not injured.
There is no motive or suspect at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation.
