How FedEX is helping Nevadans get a new vote-by-mail – Fox 5 Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Every registered voter in Nevada should have received a mail-in ballot weeks ago.

That wasn’t the case with FOX5 Investigates’ Andryanna Sheppard. She started doing some research after early voting opened on Saturday, Oct. 19, after she noticed her ballot wasn’t in her mailbox.

According to the ballot tracking website BallotTrax, her ballot was mailed on Oct. 10 and was supposed to arrive two days later.

Shepherd called the Clark County Elections Department and was told a new one would be sent to her address.

A week later, Shepard still didn’t have a vote. She called back and was told her ballot had been “submitted” for mailing.

Concerned, Shepherd contacted a Clark County spokesperson and was told by the Elections Department that her ballot would be sent via FedEx. That way the department can track it. Shepherd’s ballot was delivered in less than 24 hours.

A Clark County spokesman said the Elections Department can FedEx the ballot to anyone who has had similar problems.

Voters should call (702) 455-VOTE (8683) to request a new ballot.

You can also pick up a ballot at the Clark County Elections Department, 965 Trade Dr., Suite A, in North Las Vegas.
