In addition to his contributions to dentistry, Dr. Novosad has been actively involved in local government and community service. He has held elected office, including city councilor and mayor, demonstrating his commitment to public service. His leadership qualities were recognized when he was named among the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1981.

Dr. Novosad’s influence extends beyond his dental practice; he was deeply involved in community development, organizing workshops for the John Ben Shepherd Public Leadership Forums and serving on the Texas Job Training Coordinating Council appointed by Governor William P. Clements. He currently holds the position of President of the Board of Trustees of the Wharton Independent School, continuing his dedication to education and community well-being.
