THE WOODLANDS, Texas — A few years ago, Anna Bosch wanted to step up her Halloween decorating game.
“I love Halloween. I told my husband to do something,” Anna said with a mischievous smile.
Anna finds some porcelain dolls for sale and her ghostly, eerie dollhouse begins to take life.
She gave her new dolls a sinister look: “I burn the hair, rip the clothes, gouge out the eyes to make them look more sinister and people love it.”
Ana, who hails from Uruguay, now has more than 250 whimsical dolls that decorate her front yard in a hair-raising, spine-chilling way. This is a must-stop on your Halloween itinerary if you dare.
Neighbor Ilena Makipe said she liked it: “A lot of people don’t like it. It touches something deep inside.”
Anna’s son, Eneko, adores his mother’s creativity, but he doesn’t like that his bedroom is under the doll storage ceiling. Eneko admits that he has heard strange things, but Mom does not believe him.
“She says I hear things, but if she slept in my room, she won’t be able to tell me I’m lying… She’s a crazy woman.”
The display is in the 150 block of Greywing Circle in The Woodlands.
