The New York Knicks haven’t been as good as advertised to start the season.
Tom Thibodeau’s team is posting efficient numbers on offense, but still isn’t taking enough shots — especially from three — to keep up with other teams.
Also, there’s still some defensive incomprehensibility, and while the potential is clearly there, they may need more time together before this new group gets to where it needs to be.
With that in mind, Gilbert Arenas made a pretty bold suggestion for their starting lineup.
On the latest edition of his show, he stated that perhaps they would be better off demoting Josh Hart to the second division.

That way, they could slide Mikal Bridges to the shooting guard spot while playing OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns up front and Jericho Sims at the five.
Arenas believes Hart will make an impact on the floor whether he starts or comes off the bench, arguing that this starting unit would make more sense.
He has some valid points and at the end of the day who starts the game isn’t as important as who is on the floor when it matters most.
Thibodeau likes Hart to finish plays because he makes game-winning plays.
He’s a hustler, gets offensive tackles and isn’t an offensive liability.
The Knicks need to figure some things out and make a few adjustments, and since Hart is the best guy on the team, he might not mind taking one for the team.
