The BJCTA said this initiative aims to remove transportation barriers and encourage civic engagement among Birmingham and Jefferson County residents.
“We believe that access to transportation should never be a barrier to exercising the right to vote,” said Amanda Hare, Marketing and Communications Manager. “By offering free rides on Election Day, we hope to make it easier for members of our community to make their voices heard.” For more information on routes and schedules, please visit the BJCTA website at maxtransit.org or contact the Service Department at customers at 205.521.0101.
