RENO, Nev. (COLO) – A Reno man has been sentenced to five years in prison for assaulting three teenagers at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, in an incident the Department of Justice says left one of the teens seriously injured.
Roy Ramirez, 25, will serve three years of parole after jurors found that on Sept. 2, 2023, he shot one teenager in the face, one in the head, and pointed a gun at a third. The second teenager is a 13-year-old with multiple, life-threatening injuries.
Ramirez was on parole at the time of the attack.
He pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a deadly weapon in Indian country and one count of assault causing serious bodily injury in Indian country.
