DC and Marvel have announced that their comics will work together as part of a new crossover event, which will be released later this year.
Although DC and Marvel remain rivals in the cashier, both studios launch large restarts on Superman and The fantastic four This summer, the respective companies work together to make history when it comes to their comic book production.
Appearing at ComicsPro, the comic book summit in Glendale, California on Friday (February 21st), DC editor -in -chief Marie Javins and editor -in -chief of Marvel CB Cblski confirmed that a new cross event with the participation of characters from both universes will be arriving Soon.
Both companies are ready to produce one comic each. Marvel’s book will just be called Marvel/DC While DC will be called DC/Marvel S
Sticking the event, the two editors started, talking about how they “really enjoy” the process of working together on the reprint of previous DC and Marvel cooperation, which was launched in 2024.
Then Sebulsk told the fans, “I think there is another white whale we have.”
Javins asked what he meant, saying, “I’m trying to find out what you could talk about. There is only another white whale I can think of. ”
“Another crossover, a modern crossover, are you ready for it?” Sebul asked, turned to the crowd, “What do you think?”
The announcement was met with an enthusiastic roar by the audience. “I suppose we have no choice but to do it,” Javins said in response.
“Can I make more comic books on Fart as part of that?” She then asked, citing an upcoming scratch and knife comic book featuring Harley Quinn.
Chebul shook his head at the idea and added, “Well, I don’t know that they were their applause. I think they talk about Marvel DC/DC Marvel crossover.”
Then Javin replied, “Can we do it in 2025?” To which Cebulski concluded: “I think we have compiled some creators and some ideas for character …”
There was no confirmation during the writing which characters would be included in the crossovers or what would lead to the storylines.
Although this may seem like a new concept for the younger fans, DC and Marvel have previously been very open to cooperation. The last project between the two publications, JLA/Avengers was released in 2003
The first official crossover between the two brands took place in the 70s of the last century with the titles Superman vs the incredible Spiderman and Batman & the Incredible Hulk S
Crossovers became more common in the 1980s and 1990s with characters such as X-Men, Teen Titans, Green Lantern, Silver Surfer and Daredevil, which cross the trails on each other.
The biggest cooperation was DC vs. Marvel A miniseries, which was published between February and May 1996. This ended in Amalgam Age A series in which the characters were literally merged together to create a mess as a super-wicker, a dark nail, and Dr. Strages.
