Durham Police are looking for two male suspects after they stole a jacket during a Facebook Market sale in Whitby.
On Thursday, October 24, at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Central West Division responded to a robbery in the area of Rolling Acres Drive and Daines Drive.
The victim posted a jacket for sale on the Facebook marketplace and agreed to meet a potential buyer near a public school parking lot. The suspect put on the jacket and fled the area on foot. The victim chased the suspect, but was stopped by a second man who displayed a firearm. The suspects fled the area in a gray Honda.
The victim was not injured, the police said.
The first suspect is described as: male, approximately 17 years old, 5’8” – 5’9” tall, with curly dark hair. He was wearing a black and white sweater, gray ripped jeans and Asics shoes.
The second suspect is described as: a man wearing a black ski mask and wearing all black clothing.
