Possible cuts, closure of schools and others: Here are what Bay Area schools will vote – ABC7 Bay Area

San Francisco (KGO) – The school districts in the bay area are involved in major budgetary problems that could affect different positions.

In the coming days, school tips in San Francisco, San Jose, Fremont and Hayward will vote for proposals that include cuts and closure or consolidation of schools.

Here is a look at what may be in danger.

United School District in San Francisco

Deficiency: $ 113 million

– 837 potential cuts in SFUSD were announced on Friday, February 21st. They include 395 teachers, social workers and advisers; 164 teacher assistants; and 278 administrators & other staff
– The area will vote for dismissal notifications on Tuesday, February 25
– The state period for “preliminary” pink slips is on March 15. The letters are then expected to be sent by mail, but the area may cancel or distribute less than the number of notifications after that date.

Franklin-Mckinley Primary School (Eastern San Jose)
