Baton Rouge – Don’t be afraid, Oyster fans; Jolie Pearl’s old place in the city center will soon be opened on new property.
The restaurant will have more focus on oysters, under the new name Bayes Oyster Bar. Recently, Rick Woland struck the place and plans to work on the interior to open in mid -April.
Woland had previous relationships with Jolie Pearl, but sold it to his partners.
“It will be very similar to what we originally opened, oysters and shrimp – it was a oyster bar – I want to return it, where we focus on strict oysters,” Voland said.
The menu will also include boiled shrimp and sandwiches. Voland has several other properties in the city center, including the center of seafood and grill, Capital City Grill and Stroubes Seafood and Steak.
