Bishop Manogue senior Ryder Kiel capped off a strong season with a Class 4A boys state singles tennis title.
In a repeat of the regional championship, Kiel beat Manogh teammate Michael Song 6-3, 6-4 Saturday at Bishop Manogh for the title.
Kiel took third at state last year.
Spanish Springs sophomore Addison Bowers, who won the girls regional singles title, lost in the state semifinals to finish fourth.
In girls doubles, Special Springs’ Vanessa Hollenbeck and Mackenzie Chase won the state title, defeating Reno’s Haley Brenner and Holly Lauder 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the final
In boys doubles, Jack Feeney and Will Lewis of Reno took third after defeating Connor Ahmed and Matthew Cacucci of The Meadows 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5).
In the team tournament, Spanish Springs won the girls state title, defeating Manogue 10-8.
Meadows defeated Spanish Springs for the boys team title, 17-1.
The doubles team of Manogh Aubrey Quatman and Juliana Evans placed fourth in the state tournament.
In the 3A state tournament held Saturday at Tahoe Donner Tennis Club, South Tahoe’s Brody Wallish and Ralston Pierce won the boys doubles title.
South Tahoe won the 3A boys team title and Truckee won the 3A girls team title.
