Guess who’s back on the road?! – iHeart

The Who are back!

Pete Townshend has confirmed that he and Roger Daltrey are working in 2025.

“I met Roger for lunch a few weeks ago,” Townshend said. “We’re in good shape. We love each other. We’re both getting a little creaky, but we’re definitely going to do something next year.”

Their last tour together was in 2023 when they used strings for a more orchestral performance, this time around Townshend says it will be more limited.

“The last big tours we did were with a full orchestra, which was great,” claims Townshend, “but now we’re eager to make noise and mess around and make mistakes.”

Townshend will play in November at the Theater Royal in London for a performance of The Seeker.

Pete Townshend and Elton John join the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for a reimagining of Siddhartha, Hermann Hesse’s tale of self-discovery and enlightenment.

The Seeker features music by Pete Townshend and classical composer Rachel Fuller and is named after the classic Who single from 1970. Siddhartha was written in 1922 and inspired Townshend’s song The Ferryman, which was written for the production of Siddhartha staged at Meher Baba Ocean Center in Twickenham.

The Seeker is now out as a book and album, featuring new versions of the song and The Ferryman. The book is narrated by the late Christopher Plummer and features Elton John, Leighton Williams, Emeli Sande, Bollywood star Sunidhi Chauhan, South African singer Nahane and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The album and book are out on November 7th and can be pre-ordered from theseekermusic.com. There will be a one-off performance at the Theater Royal Drury Lane in London on November 6.
