Three men from Oshawa, Whitby and Ajax are among four people facing charges following a complex investigation into armed bank robberies.
Between December 2022 and this March, eight banks were robbed.
Some were in small towns, such as Arcona and Arnprior. Others took place in busy towns such as Pickering, Barrie and Newmarket.
Police say the suspects stole over two million dollars, which has not been recovered.
The men always used guns, and in at least six of the robberies bank employees were tied up. No serious injuries were reported.
Last summer, investigators linked the robberies to one group.
Three suspects were arrested in June while attempting to commit a robbery in the Northern Ontario community of Field.
They have identified those suspects as Keino Heath, 25, of Oshawa; David Newman, 24, of Ajax; and Roderick Newman, 32, from Cobourg.
A fourth man was arrested in September in Vaughan. He has been identified as Devonte Clark, 29, of Whitby.
Officers are still looking for a fifth suspect.
Akeem Williams, 32, from Ajax, is wanted but has already been charged. If you know where he is, police ask you to stay away from him.
The men face dozens of charges, including robbery with violence, use of an imitation firearm, forcible confinement, possession of a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime.
