The hard work and dedication of the Baton Rouge High School were rewarded with a surprise, changing life on Monday night.

For four years, Kenrel Taylor, senior at the school bridge school, rode his bike to school, work and basketball practice.
He tells WAFB that his busy schedule made it catch the bus impossible: “I have to do what I need to do. Beyond that I have a job and I have so many other things that I have to do and I don’t really have time and when I don’t have time, I can’t do the bus, so the only way I can really get here is with this bike. “
In addition to the school and his part-time work, the Honor Roll student says he is most passionate about helping people. Even with his busy social calendar, he still finds time to participate voluntarily as a teacher and sit on BRPD panels for his school.
After graduation, Taylor has his own views, placed in the degree of nurses or law, where he can continue to make a difference, but on a larger scale.
Dr. PoPleon, Assistant Director of Idea Bridge Operations, noticed Taylors’ dedication to top achievement and return. Dr. PoPleon wanted to help to simplify his trip and decided to start working to get a vehicle for him.
The auxiliary principal contacted a former parent of the school who owns a towing company, and they not only donated a car, but also paid for tax property and license.
