The Glendale Police Department is preparing to launch its Real-Time Intelligence Center, the department announced last week.

The center at GPD headquarters, at 131 N. Isabel St., will host a grand opening Nov. 13 at 10 a.m., according to the department’s news release. Mayor Elen Asatryan, Glendale City Council members, City Manager Rubik Golanian, Police Chief Manny Sid, police command staff and other City of Glendale officials were expected to attend.

Police crime analysts and RTIC dispatchers will serve as a “round-the-clock resource for patrol officers responding to crimes in Glendale,” police said in a statement. The real-time information officers will receive from RTIC is intended to improve emergency response and assist detectives in solving crime investigations.

Parking for the RTIC grand opening event is on Isabel Street between Broadway and Wilson Avenue, officials said. Additional parking is available at the Glendale Civic Center Parking Structure, on Wilson Avenue between Isabel and Glendale Avenues.
