The Fremont Girls Basketball Program provided conference championships for the first time in school history on Tuesday night, as they passed Oakridge for a convincing victory 70-33 in the action of the West Michigan Conference Lakes division.
The pills jumped to 42-14 leads in the first half and continued to go around the Eagles to extend their victorious series to 10 games and to provide an outspoken share of the championship of the conference division in Western Michigan.
“This is the first time our girls’ basketball program has won conferences championships for 48 years,” said Fremont’s chief coach Peter Zerfas. “We have a chance to stay unbeaten in the league game this year after it went in 12-0 last season.”
Taylor Decuper finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and seven thefts to lead Fremont (18-2), while Riley Chase added 11 points and six rebound Taner had 10 points and eight fights.
Adeline Guen finished with 15 points to lead Oakridge (2-15) while Cambria Guentard added 10 points.

Mona Shores 43, Holland 24
The sailors jumped to 22-10 leads of the half and added 14-5 mileage in the third quarter to retire for an impressive victory in non-conference actions.
Katie Phillips finished with 17 points to lead the Mona Shores (15-5), while Braylin Meyers added 12 points and Laynie Russian scored five points.

Ludington 53, Montag 30
Orioles ran to 30-12 leads in the first half and continued to retreat from Wildcats for an impressive victory in the actions of the West Michigan conference.
Peyton Welch finished with 14 points to lead Ludington (14-5), while Jordin Anderson added 10 points, Jalin Laard scored nine points, and Eliana Jeruzal had seven points.
Bryilin Bullema finished with nine points to lead Montague (10-8), while Addison Pranker added seven points and Addie Peterson had five points.

Reed City 52, Mason Central County 24
The coyotes drained seven 3-indicatives in the first half, and the Spartans could not continue to pace down as they fell into non-conference actions.
Casey Terin scored 16 points to lead Reed City.
Malory Miller scored 11 points to lead Mason Central District (7-13).
“Reed City’s credit, they have done a great job of demolishing jumpers,” said Mason Bryan Beybe County County coach. “They have some very good players around the perimeter and we have been at the wrong end of very hot shooting nights lately.”

Shelby 57, North Masquagon 24
The tigers opened the running game of 17-2 and continued to travel along the Norwegian for a convincing victory in the conference actions in Western Michigan.
Michelle Peterson finished with 18 points and five assists to lead Shelby (16-4), while Jaina Bermeister added 17 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and seven thefts. Anabel Stark recorded six points and eight rebounds, while Ava Lamberg and Jordan, who excited everyone, scored six points.

Big Rapids 59, Kent City 44
The Cardinals used 23-9 runs in the second quarter to step away from the Eagles and to provide an impressive victory in non-conference actions.
Eli Hansen finished with 14 points and three assists to lead Kent City (14-5), while Kenzi Freeland added 12 points, six rebound six points.
Nuray Fricke scored a 26 -point game to lead Big Rapids.

NEWAYGO 50, white cloud 30
The lions jumped to 23-14 leads of the half and used 21-6 runs in the third quarter to retire for a convincing victory at CSAA Action.
Kija Schultz finished with 11 points, seven thefts and six struggles to lead a failing (15-3), while Amaya Latrop added 10 points, five thefts, five assists and three rebounds, and Gabby Arnie had seven points, four thefts and four Fighting.
“It was a good win of the ladies team tonight,” Nayaygo’s head coach Nathan Thomasma said. “The girls have made good efforts. We did not shoot the ball particularly well, but our defense managed to give us a spark and made us continue. ”
Andy Vincent finished with 17 points to lead a white cloud (5-14).

Muskegon Catholic Central 63, Kentwood Grand River Prep 46
The Crusaders used a range of 17-4 in the second quarter to build a two-digit half-time lead, but the Grand River Prep responded with a 19-point third quarter to reduce the deficit to only four points.
Muskegon Catholic came out motivated in the fourth quarter and closed the game at 22-9 to provide an impressive win in the Alliance League actions.
Kenzi Camead finished with 12 points to lead Muskegon Catholic (9-8), while Aaliyah Winston added 11 points and three assists. Leona Kotetski recorded 10 points and four thefts, while Claire Carlton grabbed 16 rebounds and Lindsay Lad registed 15 rebounds.
