Baton Rouge – State and parish leaders have announced huge investments in river parishes, which were announced by the port of South Louisiana.
Investments come after the Ministry of the Interior removed thousands of acres in the parish of St. John from the status of the national remarkable.
The solution will allow the development along the eleven mile section along the west coast of the river in the parish of St. John. DEQ Secretary Aurelia Giacomo and other parish leaders say this will still allow them to defend the region while carrying jobs in the area.
Last year, a large grain export facility withdrew its plans to build a complex of $ 800 million in the area, in the face of an opposition, participating in the historic status of a landmark.
