How to watch 2024-25 Mavericks games with and without cable: Complete streaming guide – The Smoking Cuban

The start of the NBA regular season is less than a week away and Dallas Mavericks fans are excited to see their new look team.

Dallas fans were left wanting more after losing the 2024 NBA Finals to the Boston Celtics, and their new additions should help them once again remain one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving’s offensive dominance and growing chemistry, combined with the defense and shooting of everyone around them, looks like it will be the perfect recipe for success, and Mavs fans won’t want to miss any of the action from October until the playoffs.

After a miserable spectator experience last season, the Mavs have made an effort to make their games more accessible and much more cost effective.

Every team in the NBA obviously has games that are televised locally, and any game that isn’t televised locally will be shown on national television.

Local shows

The Mavs are no longer with Bally Sports Southwest and now most of their games will be shown on KMPX (Channel 29) or WFAA (Channel 4). Dallas agreed to a broadcast rights deal with TEGNA in the offseason, and now Mavs fans will be able to watch games much more easily.

While some cable companies do not carry Channel 29, it can be accessed by purchasing a digital antenna to connect to your television. At least 70 games will be broadcast on KMPX or WFAA, with the remaining games being nationally televised games.

Fans in the DFW metroplex and surrounding areas will have access to both WFAA and KMPX with the purchase of a digital antenna. The games will also be available to fans in Waco, Tyler, Midland-Odessa, Abilene and San Angelo on TEGNA stations.

Below are some of the cable providers that have KMPX channel 29.

Mavs fans likely won’t be able to watch the games that are on KMPX and WFAA without cable or an antenna, and your best bet remains to buy NBA League Pass if you’re out of the market. But for fans who are in the market, the Mavericks have launched a program called MavsTV.

MavsTV

MavsTV seems to be the best option for fans who are in the Mavericks approved region and don’t have cable or an antenna. MavsTV can be streamed from your smartphone, smart TV or computer, and you can also watch Mavs games through the NBA app with a MavsTV subscription.

A full season subscription to MavsTV costs $124.99 or you can choose to pay monthly for $14.99 per month.

Mavericks fans must live in the approved Dallas region to subscribe to MavsTV, but can watch games while traveling as long as they return to the approved region within 30 days to re-authenticate their account.

NBA League Pass

NBA League Pass lets you watch every NBA game out of the market, with prices starting at $109.99 for the entire season. The premium plan can be purchased for $159.99 for the entire season.

By all accounts, the Mavs have the most loaded lineup of the entire Luka era this season. The expected starting lineup for the Mavs heading into the 2024-25 season looks to be Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, PJ Washington and Derek Lively II.

Dallas’ starting lineup is likely to be one of the strongest in the NBA, and they have some excellent bench players as well. Daniel Gafford, Quentin Grimes and Naji Marshall will be key players to help keep the energy high.

Dallas’ big roster should help give them their best shot at a title since Doncic entered the NBA, and you won’t want to miss any of the action.
