NEW YORK — The final buzzer sounded and Cavs star Donovan Mitchell approached Darius Garland, his maligned backcourt teammate.
The two shouted for joy and then shared a big brotherly hug after Cleveland passed its first real test of the regular season, a 110-104 victory over the rival New York Knicks in which Garland played a leading role. The Cavs are one of three teams still undefeated.
