Road works continue on I-15 in Hesperia Monday night – Saturday morning – Pain In The Pass

HESPERIA, CA. (Pain in passage) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue work on a $122 million project to rehabilitate and repave the lanes and ramps and upgrade drainage systems in the Hesperia to Victorville center divider/right shoulders of Interstate 15 in San Bernardino County. This project will not add an additional lane to the freeway or for high-speed rail.

As of the end of September, the project is 87% complete and still on track.

EXPECT SOON I-15 LANE SWITCH IN LATE OCTOBER & NOVEMBER! Signs will be in place, please proceed with caution throughout the work.

Crews are currently conducting operations in the center median, shoulder areas and at various on and off ramps.

Opening hours: Monday evening – Saturday morning.

Northbound I-15 from Oak Hill Rd to Bear Valley Rd – 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.**

• Alternating lane closures, possibly reducing lanes to one at times.

• *All on/off ramps are subject to periodic closures for crew safety and related roadworks.

• Connector closures may occur: NB/SB I-15 to NB/SB Hwy 395 during operations. Look out for signs.

• NB Ranchero Road, Hwy 395 and Main Street off-ramps may be closed: Oversized loads should use lanes 1 and 2.

Southbound I-15 from before Bear Valley Rd to Ranchero Rd – 7:00 p.m. – 5 am**.

• Alternating lane closures, possibly reducing lanes to one.

• *All on/off ramps are subject to periodic closures for crew safety and related roadworks. Main Street and Joshua St may be closed.

• Connector closures may occur: NB/SB I-15 to NB/SB US 395 during work. Look out for signs.

**Times are subject to change and may be extended or start earlier. Entry and exit ramps may be subject to closure. Please use caution and remember to slow down when approaching and driving through construction zones. Schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or construction issues.

The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
