The fatal accident happened around 8:37 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 4800 block of North Interstate-27, according to Lubbock police.
Lubbock, Texas – Two people, identified as Bobby Moreno, 38, and Cruz Moreno, 40, after they were hit on Interstate 27 North in North Lubbock Saturday night.
The fatal accident happened around 8:37 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 4800 block of North Interstate-27, according to Lubbock police.
Bobby Moreno and Cruz Moreno were struck and killed after exiting a vehicle on I-27
Police said the initial investigation revealed Bobby, Cruz and 20-year-old Brianna Arredondo were traveling southbound in a vehicle. At some point, according to police, Bobby and Cruz got into a verbal altercation. As a result, Cruz and Arredondo exited the vehicle. The two start on the roadway, then are hit by a southbound SUV.
Seeing the accident, Bobby also got out of the car to check on the injured. Then Bobby and Cruz were hit by a pickup truck. Bobby and Cruz were killed in the collision
Arredondo suffered minor injuries in the initial collision and was taken to University Medical Center in a private vehicle.
No further details were provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
