Acadia University and the KC Irving Environmental Science Center have selected two incoming students as 2024 Arthur L. Irving Family Foundation Scholars.
The scholarship, valued at $60,000 over four years, is among the most prestigious in Canada. Awarded to students with an entering grade point average (GPA) above 90 percent with a demonstrated history of community involvement and a passion for the environment. In addition to financial support, recipients are integrated into a mentoring network of current scholars and alumni. This network is growing as the scholarship is now in its eleventh year.
Recipients will engage in academic research during their time at Acadia University. Through the fellowship program, connections are fostered to ensure that each student is engaged in research that aligns with their unique interests.
“I am very pleased that the Arthur L. Irving Family Fellowships will provide an opportunity for recipients to develop their research interests with superb faculty and staff at the world-class KC Irving Environmental Science Center.” I am impressed with each student in this cohort, and I am excited to see what they accomplish at Acadia and beyond.
