Las Vegas raids can despair as a defender, but despair must only take them so far. That is why the pursuit of trade for Matthew Stafford is a bad idea.
Stafford has been appointed a potential Los Angeles trade candidate after a fairly average season in 2024. The 37-year-old has stayed in his deal for two years, and Aries will probably have to revise his contract.
Or Los Angeles can Naturally connected Las Vegas to the one -bowl one champion.
Three or four years ago, this would be a great idea. But with Stafford, who has gone through his premiere, it just wouldn’t be the best use of Raiders resources.
Stafford was once one of the best discounts on NFL, but in the past year he faded significantly down and it was even somewhat responsibility at times for a crime of Aries, which was not exactly for weapons.
What makes anyone think that the former # 1 will generally do better in Las Vegas, especially given that Raiders are significantly thin at playmakers (at least at the moment)?
Las Vegas should become more young. This is not the time to hit a bandage and hope for the best. It is one thing to sign a one -year stop at a free agency. Stafford wouldn’t be that. Again, it was contract until 2026 and carries a caps of $ 50 million and $ 54 million respectively.
Finally, Raiders have a good financial situation and at this stage Stafford’s contract would not be very wise. Yes, Las Vegas can restructure his deal, but realistically, how much money can Raiders really move when it comes to a veteran?
Las Vegas would be better or add a bridge defender for a year or try to trade for Sander Sanders or Cam Ward in NFL’s draft. Damn, Raiders would even be better served in a dusting of 2026 before taking Stafford at the moment.
Stafford is certainly a big name, but his game no longer matches his reputation. Las Vegas must undoubtedly pass him.
